Two new Postdoc Fellows at Cluster
The Excellence Cluster's Research Area A and G have new members: In October Dr. Luca Martucci joined the group of Prof. Dr. Dieter Lüst. Martucci gained his PhD from the Università di Milano, Italy, and for the last three years held a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Institute of Theoretical Physics at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. His research interests are focused on the study of several aspects of String Theory and its physical application. Over the next two years Martucci will be working on various aspects of string compactifications with background fluxes and D-branes.
From November on, Dr. Rasmus Voss will be part of the research group of PD Dr. Roland Diehl within Area G. Voss, who was born and educated in Denmark, received his PhD from the Max-Planck-Institut für Astrophysik. He will perform a study of the broader astrophysical implications of radioactivity observations made by the INTEGRAL Gamma-Ray Observatory of ESA. Voss will conduct his work mainly at the Max-Planck-Institut für extraterrestrische Physik with connections to other interstellar medium mixing studies within the Cluster.
