Reiner Krücken and Wolfram Weise become members in DFG panels
Two members of the Excellence Cluster Universe have obtained new positions in consulting panels of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft.
Prof. Dr. Reiner Krücken, coordinator of Research Area G ‘Heavy Elements’ is now an elected member of council 309 in the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, dedicated to particles, nuclei and fields. One of the central responsibilities of the DFG councils is the quality management of evaluation processes in the preparing phase of funding decisions. Krücken was elected for four years and is one of five members in council 309.
On February 11 2008 the DFG senate assigned Prof. Dr. Wolfram Weise, one of the senior principal investigators of the Cluster, as a member of the board dealing with the issues of Special Research Areas in DFG. In this position Weise also participates in the approval processes for the funding of the Special Research Areas.
