New Post-doctoral Fellow at the Cluster
The Cluster's research area A has a new member: Dr. Nicolas Moeller. He will work in the team of Prof. Dr. Ivo Sachs, LMU, and will follow the question how matter behaves at extremely high energies and short distances.
Born and raised in Switzerland, Moeller gained his PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Afterwards, he workded as a Post-doctoral Fellow at King's College, London, and at the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Trieste, Italy.
Moeller's research interests cover several aspects of string theory and its application to Cosmology. Notably, he did substantial research on string field theory, time-dependent solutions of string theory, scattering of strings at high energy, and p-adic string theory.
