Abstract
Using the reaction 235U(alpha,2n) in order to perform gamma-spectroscopy at the Cologne Tandem accelerator employing the MINIBALL spectrometer, single-particle states in 237fPu have been identified for the first time and attributed to the two known fission isomers in 237fPu. A detailed level scheme in the superdeformed second potential minimum could be extracted. Experimental results are compared to theoretical calculations based on Nilsson-, Woods-Saxon- and Hartree-Fock-Bogolyubov-calculations.
